Echo Restaurant in Carnesville

Been here once and loved it, bad things is I didn't save the place for future time to come again. Took me 1 hour to find it in Google. Down To eat here everytime I pass by from now on.

Great place to go out with friends for a good meal. Great service and very clean.

This is my husband's and my personal favorite spot to eat while we are traveling. They are so down to earth and nice people. A really great buffet. Very old fashioned country truck stop feel. Down home comfort food and great service.

Revived Diner Truckstop with great food, great prices, plenty of pull-thru parking for big rigs and RV's, friendly staff, and clean family friendly restaurant. Easy access for GA I-85 at exit 166.

Definitely recommend. We stopped at the Echo Truck Stop and Restaurant in Carnesville, GA for birthday lunch for my husband, we are commercial truck team drivers. The food was so good. It was a lunch buffet with fried chicken, ham, turkey, chicken and dumplings, green beans, corn, green lima beans, mashed taters and gravy, mac and cheese, cabbage and sausage, broccoli casserole, and more. It also had a small salad and dessert bar. Everything was very tasty and well seasoned. Reminded me of the Sawmill Restaurant back home. Plus the price was great. Under $20 for 2 people. Can't beat that. Definitely recommend this place.

Good country food if you like buffet country cooking. You'll like it.

This was better than any TA or Petro restaurant. The size and quality of the buffet was bigger and better. The restrooms are as clean as any I've been in. Lunch time on a Tuesday plenty of truck parking. The waitresses were all friendly and knowledgeable. The food was just as good as Grandma can do. Don't tell her. Lol. I was given a veterans discount without even asking for it. They saw my hat and asked me did I serve. Needless to say my first visit was a success I will return.

Not fancy, just homey. Came in late morning for breakfast/lunch change over. Best of both. Bacon, grits, sausage, chicken fried steak w/gravy, greens, blackeye peas, fried chicken, cornbread, peach cobbler, good coffee. Yes, I ordered the buffet. $10 !!! I will be back.

Just an old school truckstop family owned since 1965. I'm a 40 year driver and have been stopping here forever. It reminds me of my early years when there were more like it. Good food, decent prices, and best of all, nice folks.

Seems like a very nice place. However no ice cream no peach cobbler! No one seems to be concerned sad was looking forward to the GREAT experience...? Looks like they are out of rib eyes at the truck stop....? Poor mgt.? Someone needs to lead the team! The team is only a GREAT a the leader maybe or NOT...Leaves you wondering....??? HOPE they get it together. Could be a GREAT PLEASE to stop!

As always, food is awesome. Service was friendly. And the strawberry rhubarb is worth the trip by itself. Cant go wrong here.I recommend the catfish. Yumm.

They recently started all day buffet, I've been there for breakfast and lunch, both are really good country cooking

Great place. I went in and got a salad to go, and it was 5 bucks. You can always find a spot to park. I would love to try the breakfast, but didn't have time the next morning.

I can express how much I love buffets like this. Good ol country style cookin 😋 man it was so good I ain't 3 plates 🐷 if you're in the area I advise you to stop here to eat. Service wasn't the southern hospitality you'd expect in Georgia but the food was great. I'd stop again if in the area. I'm from South Carolina tho so hopefully another day.

I only go there on Martin Luther King day, but every time I have eaten there it has been great. Especially this last time.

Sara was wonderful she kept the buffet fresh & full of wonderful food. My hat goes off to the cooks & everyone involved in making Echo South such a pleasant experience & for the awesome food. Kim our waitress was fabulous very attentive & personable. This was our 1st visit but we will definitely be back. P.S. Sara, Kim said remember it was unsweetened tea lol (inside joke)

On the way back from a weekend at Clemson the wifey and I stopped by this place before the long drive to traffic city aka Atlanta.This a serviceable buffet offering typical southern dishes at a reasonable price.They were hopping on a Sunday lunch time but there is plenty of seating space. The buffet line was old but salubrious-ish. The highlights: Good items: fried chicken, boiled cabbage and green beans.The bad items that day: their dessert island was composed of different fruit cobblers and a sweet potater one. Every one of them except the sweet potater one was under cooked.They tack on a credit card charge of 4%ish so pay cash to save money.Fair enough, they are a small business and credit card companies are greedy.

I'm giving a two because the ice tea was good. The salad bar was warm and the hot bar cold. Mashed potatoes are instant. Chicken was very much like Banquet.We will not be coming back. Which is a shame. We live local and are always looking for good restaurants, especially with Christian owners.

Always a good experience here home cooking on the road and the're peach cobbler is like Big momma use to make... There food kills any of the greasy spoon truck stops buffet.. I think Friday and Saturday they serve seafood buffet.. If u get a chance exit 160 I-85 GA stop on in..
